About the Artist

My journey

Self-taught painter, I have been passionate about drawing and painting since adolescence.

I started to paint with oil paint from the age of 16 and I followed different artists' workshops in order to deepen the techniques of drawing, pastel, painting with oil. oil and watercolor.

For the past ten years, I have been giving drawing and painting lessons for young and old in the Grenoble region.

I participated and organized several collective and personal exhibitions in my region.

My artistic process

My artistic approach is to render the illusion of reality while giving a soul to my work so that it is not just an exact copy of the real.

I mainly work from a photo, but it only serves as a support. I sometimes change certain elements of the composition for a better harmony and a balance of the whole. For each new subject, playing with volumes, shadows and lights, depth effects, in a creative process fascinates me.

In addition to drawing (charcoal, red chalk, graphite lead), I practice oil painting; but my preference goes more naturally to the dry pastel that I discovered twenty years ago. I appreciate the versatility of this medium which allows to create many effects, such as fades and wispy effects of clouds.

My painting and my drawings are figurative, sometimes hyperrealistic. My frames are often narrow on the main subject, sometimes even taken out of context for a more intimate look. I particularly like working on the rendering of materials and objects.
